Mountain Bikes

View Mountain Bikes

Description

Mountain bikes (MTBs) are the most utilitarian type of bikes and generally have 26″ or 29″ wheels, but frame sizes can vary from 12″ to 22″. MTBs have a rugged frame, strong brakes, and aggressive tires. While MTBs excel on the trail, MTBs are comfortable for everyday leisurely riding, too.

Road Bikes

Description

Road bikes is the generic term for bikes intended to stay on paved surfaces. There are a few variations of road bikes, but all are built for speed and have narrow, high-pressure tires. For example, flat bar road bikes have a flat handlebar (like a mountain bike) where other road bikes have traditional drop bars.

Comfort & Hybrid Bikes

Description

If you’re a casual rider looking for a comfortable ride and a bike that’s easy to maneuver, a comfort bike or hybrid bike could be right for you. The primary difference between comfort and hybrid bikes is the wheels size. Comfort bikes use a 26″ wheel and a slightly wider tire (similar to mountain bikes), and hybrid bikes use a 700c wheel, and slightly narrower tire. Both can handle light trail use.

Kids Bikes

Description

Kids bikes come in all shapes and sizes! Most kids and teens prefer the BMX bikes (some call these “trick bikes”) of which, our biggest sellers are from Haro. If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, check out these other kids bikes.

Cruisers

Description

As the name implies, cruisers are best suited for, well… cruising. Cruisers offer an upright riding position, and a comfy seat. Cruisers are usually single speed bikes with a coaster brake, and are best suited for riding on flat terrain. Although some models have gears and hand brakes.
